2015: JUGNAUTH GOVERNMENT DECIDES TO BRING AN END TO A CONTRACT BETWEEN STATE TRADING CORPORATION AND BETAMAX. IT WAS ALL ABOUT POLITICAL VENGEANCE. IT WAS CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE ON THE OART OF THE GOVERNMENT . 6 YEARS LATER THE PRIVY COUNCIL FINDS THAT WHAT THE GOVERNMENT DID WAS NOIT JUSTIFIED. THE BILL IS CLOSE TO RS 5 BILLION. WHO WILL PAY? THE TAXPAYER AS USUAL.
Their questions and apprehensions;
A passenger on the ship from Mauritius has been kept in a cabin in isolation. Why? Is that the same passenger who was tested negative for COVID-19 in Mauritius? Are there testing facilities in Agalega such as the rapid kit? Is the said passenger a worker from another country? We should protect and reassure our brothers and sisters from Agalega.
